Janice Katherine (Cantella) Perrone, 63, of Greensburg, passed on in spirit on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, after bravely fighting cancer for 12 years. Her optimism, compassion and grace provided her with strength and courage to overcome the path of cancer. Janice was born May 4, 1941, in Greensburg, to Emily Chuway and Frank Cantella. Janice married Dominic Perrone, of Swissvale, on Sept. 1, 1967. They resided in Greensburg and co-owned Perrone's Restaurant, formerly Janice's family's business, G&G Restaurant, for more than 30 years. Upon the marriage of Dominic and Janice, Janice became the stepmother to Renee Perrone and grandmother to Joshua Perrone. Janice and Dominic became the proud parents of Christina Maria and Dominic Joseph. Upon the marriage of her daughter, Christina, to Robert Henkel, Janice became the grandmother to Kyla and Justin (Brooke), and great-grandmother to Chandler. Janice's son, Dominic, married Trina Montell of Irwin; they gave birth to Janice's granddaughter Alexa Marie Perrone on Aug. 7, 2001. Sadly, God called his angel Alexa to heaven on Aug. 10, 2001. During her lifetime, the success of her children made Janice complete. Robert and Christina completed the hands-on construction of their new home in Murrysville. Dominic and Trina became the proud owners and chef of their restaurant, Perrone's Restaurant, in North Huntingdon. Janice enjoyed traveling and going out with her friends and spending time with her children, extended family and her beloved pet, Toby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Perrone. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by a brother-in-law, Stephen Perrone; sisters-in-law, Christine (James) Buzzelli, Anna Marie (Frank) Skaro; her aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Michael Gene Chicka, 63, of Oliveburg, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. The son of the late Druggy and Emily Turney Chicka, he was born May 11, 1941, in Westmoreland County. Mr. Chicka resided in Westmoreland County during his youth, and was a resident of Jefferson County for the past 17 years. He had been employed as a machinist for Westinghouse and also the Elliott Co. Mr. Chicka also served as a deputy for the Westmoreland County Game Commission. His hobbies included hunting, gun collecting, watching drag racing and movies, and muscle trucks, and he was a Steeler fan. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Chicka was also fond of his pet Boston terriers. He was a member of the Police Rod and Gun Club of Westmoreland County. Surviving are his wife, Delores Marie Smeltzer Chicka, whom he wed on July 11, 1987; a son, Michael D. Chicka, of Punxsutawney; a daughter, Margaret Karp and her husband, Luke, of Saltsburg; and three grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Friday at 10 a.m. in the JOHN A. John R. "Jack" Chislock, 63, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 19, 1940, in Greensburg, a son of Elizabeth "Betty" Chislock and the late John J. Chislock. Jack was a faithful member of Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He was a committed servant in Christ and relocated north after his recent retirement from Ford Motor Corp. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving family: his wife, Carolyn, formerly of New Martinsville, W.Va., and his two sons, Jeffrey and Chad, both of West Palm Beach, Fla. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as a means of relaxation. His professional accomplishments were many. However, they were far surpassed by his love and dedication to the responsibilities entrusted to him as a husband and father. Joan M. Scifo, 74, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at her home. She was born July 4, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Anastasia (Lawlor) Crisman. Prior to retirement, she had been employed by Westmoreland Community Action. She was a 1959 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. She enjoyed the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Pitt football, and loved and cherished her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Joseph Scifo; four brothers, Jack, Bill, Robert and Harry Crisman; and two sisters, Mary Alice Mauk and Nancy Koring. She is survived by three sons, Pete Scifo and his wife, Nancy, of Southwest Greensburg, Gregory Scifo and his wife, Kyong Li, of Greensburg, and Joseph Scifo and his wife, Anita, of Bradenville; grandchildren, Chelsey, Shane, Maria, Cristen, Joseph, Alyssa, Tina, Sara and Kimberly; two brothers, Franklin Crisman and his wife, Joan, of Alabama, and Patrick Crisman, of Greensburg; three sisters, Susan Wilks, of Georgia, Bridget Baker and her husband, Gene, of Greensburg, and Gail Hriczik, of South Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy Lou “Nanny” Cindrick Elliott, 56, of Greensburg RD4, passed away Wednesday, Jan,24, 1996, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Greensburg. She was born Oct. 16, 1939 in Slickville, a duaghter of the late Millie and Marie Moore Cindrick. She was a housewife, and a member of the Slickville United Presbyterian Church. She was past president of the Slickville Volunteer File Department Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Loyalhanna Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a volunteer at the Senior Citizen Center of Slickville, which is sponsored by the Department of the Aging, and a former running member of the Slickville Ambulance Service. She was also on the board of directors and co-founder of the Jr. Corp. of the Slickville Ambulance Service. She was past director of the Slickville Slickettes Marching Group and former member of the Slickville American Legion Post #18 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Kristin, in 1981, and two sisters, Annabell Santucci and Margaret Gross. She is survived by her husband, Warren C. Elliott Sr. of Greensburg RD4; and her children Warren Jr. and wife Crystal of New Alexandria, Rebecca Octavene Elliott at home, Jody and wife, Vicki of Slickville, Judy and husband, John Talarico of Greensburg RD4, Tara and Husband, Brian Dulkis of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Bob, Ashley, Cory, Shane,Kayla, John and Chad. Patricia J. (Collincini) Patrick, 69, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 11, 2011, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Tony Collincini and Peggy Dzambo Collincini. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, where she also worked for several years and was a Gray Lady at Cathedral School while her children attended there. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Fred J. Patrick Jr.; four children, Jefferey Patrick and his wife, Darlene, of Greensburg, Brian Patrick and his wife, Kimberly, of Erie, Kevin Patrick, of Greentree, and Sean Patrick and his wife, Traci, of Wexford; seven grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Samantha, Brenden, Colby, Connor and Katie Patrick; two brothers, Joseph Collincini and his wife, Susan, of Crafton, and Jerry Collincini and his wife, Rena, of Freehold, N.J.; several nieces and nephews and Missy. Dan Welty Cook, Jr., 59, died Thursday, Jan 11, 2001 at Livingston, on the el Rio Dulce, "Sweet River,"in, Guatamala, where he lived for the past eight yers. He attended Proctor Academy, Proctor N.H., Greensburg High School, and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Dan was the owner of Cook Lumber Company, Greensburg and the Yukon Lumber Company in Yukon. He was a memebr of the Keystone Divers Club of Westmoreland County and the Explorers Club of Pittsburgh. A lifelong sailor, Dan retired 16 years ago to build the 39-foot motor sailer "Cookie Won."Dan is survived by his parents, Dan and Dorothy Cook Mt. Pleasant and Chautauqua, N.Y.; a brother, Jim Cook of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Martha McCausland of Charlotte, N.C.; his chldren, Gretchen Latta of Sherman, N.Y., Richard, Charles, and David Cook of Charlotte, N.C.,and Brian Cook of Mayville, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was helf in Guatamala and then in Mayville, N.Y. A celebration of his life and adventures will take place on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institute in July. S. Jane (Cottom) Gardner, 50, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Jan 26, 1992, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born June 5, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Bachman Cottom. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Greensburg. She was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 281 of Greensburg, a past district deputy of OES District 7, a Worthy High Priestess of Westmoreland Shrine 18, a majority member of Job's Daughters Bethel 3, and past associate Grand Guardian of IOJD of Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband, Jon K. Gardner; a son, Jon W. Gardner of Greensburg; a daughter, Jennifer L. Gardner of Greensburg; a brother, Walter R. Cottom, of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine A. "Kitty" (Cremonese) Good, 74, of Greensburg, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at RNC of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born March 29, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Louis L. and Catherine M. (Marovich) Cremonese. Prior to retirement, she worked for more than 40 years at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Nursing School, Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Cremonese, and sister, Sandy Cremonese. She is survived by two daughters, Dana Marie Good, of San Miguel, Mexico, and Erin Lynne Good-Scheffer and her husband, Grant, of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Alexis Catherine Almeida, Hector Luigi Almeida and Giovanni Nelson Scheffer; a brother, James L. Diane "Dixie" Cross Kutzer, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at the North Ridge Medical Center in Pompano Beach, Fla. A native of Greensburg, Dixie was born Dec. 17, 1941, and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1959. She was married for 17 years to the late Donald Kutzer, of Latrobe. Before moving to Alaska in 1981, Dixie was employed locally at Robertshaw, Greensburg Lumber & Mill, Highland Cable and the Tribune-Review. She lived in Togiak, Alaska, for 15 years, employed as the office manager at Togiak Fisheries. She moved to Florida in 1997, where she was employed at Broward County Hospital in the accounting department. Family and friends fondly remember Dixie as a person who was always quick to smile. She had a lively laugh and the power to make babies and dogs fall in love with her. Dixie is survived by her mother, Betty Hutchinson Cross, and her son, Thomas R. Kutzer, both of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Thomas Cross, of Rector; a sister, Rebecca Derek, of Greensburg; a niece, Karla Chavez, of Eagle River, Alaska; a nephew, Donald Cross, of Eagle River, Alaska; and a niece, Amber Derek, of Pittsburgh; as well as three great-nieces and a great-nephew. Virginia L. (Ginilou) Iapalucci, 76, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, in Select Specialty Hospital Latrobe. She was born Jan. 19, 1942, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Luther J. and Mavis V. (Miller) Clark. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Greensburg and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pennsylvania Firemen's Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Clark; her sister, Judith A. Kuhns; great-nephew, Mark R. Kuhns; and a niece, Lois Kuhns-Wise. She is survived by her husband, Patsy Iapalucci; two daughters, Barbara Strupek and her husband, Gregg, of Ashburn, Va., and Beth Ann Iapalucci and her partner, Mike Psota, of Apollo; a grandson, Nicholas A. Iapalucci, of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Cailyn Strupek, of Ashburn, Va; her sister, Audrie Smith and her husband, Donald, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
