30-Hour Ultramarathon and 30-Hour Relay Email
Hello Ghost Train Runners!
October is FAST approaching, and Ghost Train will be over just three weeks from now! Everything is kicking into high gear at the Ghost Train Trail Races offices, and we are excited to see you soon!
I’ll send another email closer to the date, but I wanted to touch base on a few things.
First, all the points in my last email are still valid! What race are you registered for, purchasing swag, food and trail shoe donations, and bring your own cup – it’s all still relevant! Don’t have the email handy? It’s on our website!
The last day to drop from the race, change races, or to move off the waitlist is OCTOBER 12th at noon. If you know you won’t be able to join or are injured, please keep those on the waitlist in mind and email me at ghosttrainrace@gmail.com. If you are having self-doubt, please stay in the race and join us! Email me if you’re unsure and want to chat about it.
7th Lap
The timing software needs everyone to do a 10-mile 7th lap, even if you are going for more distance. This includes relay teams!
Carpooling!
Please be aware of our limited parking and carpool or limit the number of cars on site where possible. While we have increased our parking and some parking on Rt13 happens, it makes me extremely nervous having people that close to Rt13. I get exponentially more nervous if people are crossing Rt13. Let’s please work together to limit the number of cars on site so everyone can park safely. I’d like to avoid placards where we limit who can park. That isn’t fun for anybody and would not be the experience any of us want to have. Thanks so much for helping with this!
Base Camps & Camping at Camp Tevya
The Friday setup time hasn’t been confirmed, but it will most likely be 3pm on Friday, October 18th. Please do not arrive early! We won’t be staffed to handle early arrivals. Setting up on Friday means you’ll be able to drive to the section of road to drop off your stuff. If you set up on Saturday, you’ll need a cart or you’ll have to carry your items from where you are parked to your area.
Spaghetti Supper! (YUM!)
The Brookline Community Church will once again be sponsoring a spaghetti supper on Friday night before the races. If you haven’t been, it is a classic church basement dinner that is always delicious, including pasta and homemade desserts. All the details are on our website, and the cost is darn reasonable! We hope you’ll join!

Carpooling!
While we generally have enough parking for the 30-Mile Haunted Night Race, we do encourage folks to carpool if they can. It allows everyone to park closer and helps save Mother Earth a little bit. Thanks so much for helping with this!
