Alicia pictured here with her coach Mindy Randall, Alicia's daughter, and Alicia's pacer Emily Lowrey. Alicia was focused on running 100 miles to show her daughter that if you work hard and are determined that you can achieve great things. Alicia was awarded "Best Performance" for the race. Why? After suffering hypothermia overnight and spending a couple of hours recuperating in the RDs car went out and finished 90 badass miles!
What you didn't know is that Alex is so dedicated to his volunteer duties that he nailed this notice to his chest!

If you didn't read her story on Facebook, you should! Here it is again: "Super excited for Saturday!! Last year I completed 30 miles and was the girl crying at mile 22.5 because I got a call that my husband had less than a 50% chance of survival (he was on a ventilator in Scotland) and stopped responding to treatment…BUT this year he and I will be running together!! As many miles as we can, loosely dressed as a bride and groom as we celebrate our 20 year anniversary on October 19th…hoping to make it into the night as my tutu lights up!"
