December 2nd Email (Sent to All 2024 Runners, drops included)

Hello runners!

Thanksgiving is in the rear view mirror and it's crazy to think that Christmas and the holidays are just over three weeks from now!  It's time to think about goals for 2025 - I know I have been!

I wanted to share a few quick things with the community, especially if you aren't on our Facebook group.

- Ghost Train 2025 will take place the weekend of October 17th - 19th, 2025.  Yes, I include the Friday as it is a setup day for many of us and traditionally includes the spaghetti dinner.  Yum!

- Registration will open on January 26th, 2025 at 2pm.  The registration site on Ultrasignup is setup and ready to go!  Our website is updated with the 2025 dates and will have additional minor updates for the handbook and volunteer information in the upcoming month or two. 

- Prices for the 30-Hour Ultramarathon, 30-Mile Haunted Night Race, 15-Mile Race, and 15-Mile Relay will be the same as 2024.

- I fully expect the 30-Hour Ultramarathon and 30-Hour Relay to sell out very quickly.  How quickly?  Probably in less than an hour, maybe closer to 45 minutes. 

- The 30-Hour Relay will NOT have a waitlist.  If you don't get one of the few spots in time, I'm sorry.  

- The 30-Hour Ultramarathon will have a waitlist.  That said, in 2024 around 80 people were left on the waitlist and didn't get into the race.  The earlier you get on the waitlist, the more likely you are to get in.

All profits from Ghost Train Trail Races are split between the Conservation Commissions of Brookline and Milford, NH for trail maintenance and updates.  In 2024 some of the trail projects included the improved crossing of Armory Road, major repair of the "Jack-o-lantern" bridge in Brookline, and the repair of a major washout just north of the new tunnel, which itself was funded in part from Ghost Train money.  The Ghost Train committee and I are super appreciative of your continued support.  Without you, Ghost Train wouldn't be the special race that it is.  Thank you.
