      • TRICKS TO DAILY EXERCISE

      • 1. Take phone calls standing up or walking.

      • 2. Use a standing desk if possible, or sit on an exercise ball at your desk.

      • 3. Take frequent breaks during your day to use the restroom or to get a drink of water.

      • 4. Try to get up and walk around for about five minutes during each hour.

      • 5. Get up during commercial breaks while you`re watching television.

      • 6. Use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you have the choice.

      • 7. Park on the far side of the parking lot when you can.

      • 8. Get up and go window shopping rather than browsing online.

      • 9. When you meet with friends, clients or colleagues, try to do something that includes more movement (such as walking through a local museum or park, etc.).

      • 15/12/2011

  • Altamash A

      • More important than how often you exercise is how much you move during your everyday life. Why? Because how much time you spend sitting adversely affects your health far more than how much time you spend doing formal exercise. If you spend several hours a day sitting (at a desk, while commuting, at restaurants, etc.), it can negatively impact your health--even if you exercise regularly. Basically, regular exercise is not enough to counteract an otherwise sedentary lifestyle.

Move your muscles for better shape

Our imaginary to do daily

Guess! Who Is Omar Samra?

He was born in Wimbledon around the time the tournament was being played, my parents were convinced that I was going to be the Egyptian Boris Becker. Sadly, I had a terrible backhand and was never much of a tennis player.

By age 11, I had developed a nasty chest Asthma, waking up in the middle of the night breathless. My alarmed parents took me to a doctor who said that it would be cured in my mid-twenties but if I wanted it to disappear faster then I should start taking sports seriously. I had not learnt to be patient at the time and so as of the next day I made running a big part of my life and my Asthma wa gone in 2 months. I took up Squash for several years and then basketball, which I played competitively for many years. I remember Everest always amazed me but I had never given climbing a second thought.

Samra and Everest

Mrs Mohamed Yousef

All I knew about mountains back then was that Everest is the highest so I wanted to climb it. Further research made me realise that climbing Everest is almost an insurmountable goal and would take countless years to fulfil. Rather than give up, I held the vision and began breaking down that one large dream into smaller more achievable ones. For twelve years I gained strength and skill, climbing progressively more difficult mountains until on the 17th of May 2007 at precisely 9:49AM my dream finally came true and I became the first Egyptian and youngest Arab to stand on the top of Mount Everest.

To me, Everest was never just a mountain but a life ambition that was achieved through years of hard work and perseverance. We all have our own Everest to climb and we need to understand that this involves as much dreaming and gazing into the night’s sky as knowing that the road will almost always be long and hard.
