Team 5950

We are the Association of Roman Catholic Homeschoolers-Raleigh/All Saints Academy FIRST Tech Challenge team!

We are FTC team #5950. In 2012-2013, our first year, we finished sixth of eleven in a scrimmage, and 25th of 30 at the NC State FTC Championship Tournament.

In 2013-2014, we finished 5th of 10 in the Cary scrimmage, 3rd of 10 at the Elon scrimmage, 6th of 13 at the Raleigh Qualifier, and 8th of 20 at the State Championship. We won the Think Award at Qualifiers, the Control Award at States, and were nominated for the PTC Design Award at States.

Our Experience

Several of our team members have experience in another FIRST program, FIRST Lego League.

One of our members participated in FLL in 2011-2012, and his team took home a Research award in the Regional Qualifiers, and advanced to the North Carolina State Championships. In previous years, his teams have won awards in Robot Design and Teamwork.

Another one of our teammates was a member of the Champions Award winning team at the 2010-2011 North Carolina State Championships.
