Hello!
I just wanted to quickly talk about this season and the tournament this past weekend.
The guys have done a phenomenal job this season. Once again, with limited resource (meaning none,) they have created a unique, competitive robot that runs consistently and just plain well.
As we prepare for States in less then 3 weeks there are a few items they are working on. Repairing the lift system that was damaged during the finals at the qualifier, improving the flag spinner, and adjusting the double hang bar are all part of the plan. On top of all that, they are raising funds on the off chance they get an invitation to Super Regionals.
Super Regionals are a new level within the ladder of competitions on the way to Worlds this year. Unfortunately Super Regionals are only 10 days after States. Because of that, they are raising funds now, just in case. If they do not make it to Super Regionals, they will roll that money over into next season, covering registration, fees, and the occasional extra part or replacement motor.
At the qualifier this weekend the team placed 6th, was asked by the 3rd seed team to be alliance partners in the Finals and were beat in the 3rd of 3 rounds. After all that they came away with the THINK award and an invitation to State.
I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful program ... these guys are learning a bunch, teaching others, and doing all of it with absolute Gracious Professionalism.
Please consider stopping in from time to time to check their progress through the season, and cheer them on!
Thank you!
