The ideal place for enjoying wilderness
in the Coffee Growing Area of Colombia
Guest House
Reserva Natural Guadualito is located in the coffee- and banana- growing area of Colombia, one of the country’s most spectacular and traditional landscapes. So unique, indeed, that it was designated by UNESCO in 2011 as World Cultural Heritage.
In the last 15 years, tourists discovered the excitement of exploring these agricultural landscapes nested among the rugged mountains of the Andes, and since then the region has seen an increasing flow of visitors from around the world, that turned it into the country’s second tourist destination. Located at the heart of Colombia, this region is one of the quietest and safest areas in the country, and it is just a few hours’ drive from several major cities (Pereira, Manizales, Ibagué, Cali, Medellín), and there are two nearby airports offering several daily flights to Bogotá, Medellín and other cities.
The reserve has 9 hectares (22 acres) of secondary forest, bamboo forest, and gardens, 470 meters (1540 ft) of border along Río Roble, one of the area’s major rivers, and a spectacular visitors' house surrounded by fruit trees and palms. Reserva Natural Guadualito is unrivalled for discovering wilderness in Colombia’s Coffee Growing Area
Guadualito is thought for those seeking silence and quietness amid the magnificent Andean landscape.
Reserva Guadualito is a member of RESNATUR, the Colombian network of private nature preserves (www.resnatur.org.co), an association grouping 471 private preserves across the country.
