For a tour of the Cathedral's Pórtico da Gloria instruments there is "Galician medieval music & instruments...Medieval instruments reconstructed from the original stone of the Pórtico da Glória (XII century) of Compostela done by Obradoiro of musical instruments of deputation of Lugo (Galicia) [- YouTube Galician medieval music & instruments Description]". The tour includes a medieval music composition played on Pórtico instruments, with accompanying instrument views highlighting Organistrum, Fidulas, Luth, Harp & Citara.
A selection of 7 "Chant[s] and polyphony from the 12th-century manuscript Codex Calixtinus [performed by] The Rose Ensemble [from their album The Road to Compostela]…Truly some of the most virtuosic medieval vocal music ever written" recreates the Codex chants as pilgrim monks would have sung them whilst walking the Camino; included are the titles Congaudeant catholici, Vox nostra resonet, O lux et decus Hyspanie, Annua gaudia, Ad superni regis decus, O adiutor omnium seculorum & Rex immense, pater pie. A playlist of the 7 chants as performed by The Rose Ensemble is available through Spotify by clicking on the playlist graphic link above.
