1 (750 ml.) bottle of dry rosé10 ounces fresh strawberries (about 2 cups, sliced), plus more for garnish (optional)1 tablespoon granulated sugar¼ cup vodka2 tablespoons grenadine
Step 1
Pour the rosé into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, 8 hours or overnight.
Step 2
Combine the strawberries and the sugar in the bowl of a blender and let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, until the berries begin to release their juices.
Step 3
Add the vodka, grenadine, and rosé cubes. Blend the mixture on high until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with strawberries, if desired.
1 cup port
750ml bottle vodka
1 cup mixed dried fruits
1 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
3 tsp mixed spice
grated rind if 2 oranges
Mix all ingredients, cover with plastic wrap and put in the fridge
Line a sieve with a new chux type dishcloth, place over a bowl and slowly pour the mixture into a sieve
Save the fruit for Christmas cake, mince pies, or with ice cream
Pour into clean fancy bottles or decanters and use within 4-6 weeks. It's delicious as a stand alone liqueur, can form the base of a cocktail or poured over ice cream or Christmas pudding
