To complement the British and Irish Marilyns Halls of Fame, these new Tables are for those peak-baggers who climb Marilyns (P150m peaks) beyond Britain and Ireland.  They are called the RoW (Rest of the World) Marilyns Halls of Fame.

As the P150m prominence category is rather esoteric to Britain (but also known in Ireland), these Tables are open only to people resident in Britain and Ireland.

The threshold for entry to these Halls of Fame is to have climbed at least one hundred P150m peaks outside Britain and Ireland.

Each annual Table is divided into separate Halls with names in Old Norse, to give it an esoteric aspect, in keeping with the nature of Marilyn-bagging!  The Halls are:

Higher Halls may be opened as the need arises.

Where more than one person has the same number of RoW Marilyns in a year, the following tie-breaks will be applied to determine the rankings:

There is also the Bautarsteinhǫll (Hall of Memorials) for deceased peak-baggers who did not make it into the Halls of Fame but climbed at least 50 RoW Marilyns in their lifetime.

If you want to read more about the peak-bagging exploits of the elite in the RoW Halls of Fame, and obituaries of the deceased, go to the Baggers without Borders website - see here.

The best way to find and record your ascents of RoW Marilyns is to sign up for a free account on the Peakbagger website - see here.

If you meet the criteria and would like to be enrolled in one of these Halls, please contact the HoFMeister at marktrengove'at'gmail.com (replace 'at' with '@').
