Integrated Skills 3
Integrated Skills 3 engages students in authentic, interactive and integrated learning of language skills to prepare them for level 4 academic and linguistic expectations.
Course requirements included:
Homework &Participation (10%)
Group Projects (15%): Students collaborate with their classmates outside of class to present their projects that are related to topics discussed in the textbook.
Quizzes & Journals (15%): Journals: Students (1) write about a given topic in the beginning of each class about the topic that we are discussing in that particular week, and (2) write two one-page reflective journals to reflect on your language learning experiences and challenges after the mid-term and before the final exam. Quizzes: Students take quizzes that are based on what they have learned from their textbook.
Writing Assignments (20%): Students are asked to write a paragraph in the first assignment and an essay in the second assignment.
Exams (40%): Students take a midterm exam (20 %) and a Final Exam (20%). The tests include listening, note-taking, reading, and vocabulary items that will help them demonstrate that they have met the course learning outcomes.
