I write the following statements that I copied from the video on the board/PPT slide:
"If we can dance together
We can live together
With all the bad things happening
that can divide us
This video is a reminder
that we are better together.
With love for each other
and this planet
we can make a change.
If we can dance together
imagine what else we can do, together."
I ask the students to read the statements and then invite them to watch the video.
After watching the video, we discuss how dancing brings people of different cultures together. Then, we discuss the last statement that says "imagine what else we can do, together" by inviting students to suggest other ways that can bring people together.
I write the statements that I copied from the video the students about to watch on the board/PPT:
"Nothing brings us together like eating together."
Under that statement, I write the following question: What do you think?
I tell the students that we are about to watch a video about the statement. Then, I remind them of the video we watched the other day while showing some of the snapshots I took; and ask them if they still remember their suggestions.
After a brief discussion, I invite them to watch the video.
We watch the video and then we discuss their ideas about eating together and how food and eating together can bring people from different cultures together.
