Delphi nuts & bolts for Experienced Programmers

Gary Cornell

Osborne-McGraw Hill

We will study event driven programming and rapid prototyping. We will write Windows applications using Delphi as an implementation tool. As we create more complex applications, we will study some of the features and capabilities of Delphi. Delphi is a programming environment that uses Object Pascal as an underlying coding language. We will study Pascal programming structures and syntax. We will also study some classical algorithms.

It is not surprising that there are many sites on the Web that are devoted to the Delphi development environment. Rather than listing them here, the best thing to do is click on the link and go to Mike Marsden's Borland Delphi Links. This page has many fascinating links to Delphi related sites. It is definitely worth a visit!

There will be a mid-term counting 25% and a final counting 40% of the grade. There will be at least 6 programs comprising the remaining 35% of the grade.
