Glandral Durain

Born in the borderland nation of Shienar. in the Fortress Town of Ankor DailAt 19 he is the youngest of five children and is the Second son of a Merchant family. His older siblings have been brought up to run the business when his parents decide to take a step back. As a result he has been brought up on stories of the duty of the Borderlands to patrol The Blight and has been trained with Edgard a retired captain of the local town guard, an Armsman of the Durain family, Hired to protect their goods while in transit.

Whilst Travelling with the wagons down to Cairhien the convoy was attacked by "Bandits" who were after an easy target, taking advantage of the uncertainty caused by the Dragon Reborn. One wagon was destroyed in the attack but the bandits were driven off. in the post battle checks there were thought to be only minor injuries until Edgard collapsed seriously injured. Cleaning the wound Glandral felt dizzy but shook it off as the after effects of combat. Reaching the next village later that day Edgard was rushed to the local wise woman who accused them of wasting her time as the wound had sealed and was well on its way to healing. On the rest of the Journey Glandral was taken ill with a high temperature and unable to move so travelled in the back of the wagons.

The Journey was an uneventfull few days during which Edgards wound healed and Gladral was just drowsy and unresponsive.

Upon arrival at the town of Tremonsien, they met up with His Brother and their factors in town. Edgard relating the tale of the attack and journey mentioned the miracle healing and the malaise of Glandral, he was horrified when his brother accused him of being Shadowspawn, An Asha'man had recently attended the town recruiting for the Dragon, while Glandal was away. The descriptions of instances where men who could channel for the first time fit too perfectly Glandal's journey. Shouting and raving his brother left the house to go bring down the Light upon him. His Sister gave Glandral a purse of monies and warm clothes and hurried him on his way to follow the Asha'man and train in the Dragons new army, the "Duty is Heavier than a mountain, and death lighter than a feather, better to strike at the dark one with the gift of the creator before madness takes him"

Rejected by his family, unable to continue his life in the Borderlands has mad Glandral mentally tougher than before as in hindsight he had been sheltered as the youngest.

He has showed great potental within the Ranks of the Black Tower and has been raised to the Rank of Dedicated.

He is entitled to wear the "red ribbon" as he stood beside the Dragon at Dumais Wells.

The M'Hael has recently promoted him to the rank of Asha'Man and assigned him to observe and report on Tallin Smith and the Aes Sedai he is with.
