Hi

This week is our last week Investigating for this project you should now have explained the competition and researched all the things you will need to know in order to design your room using Sketchup. These should include how to use Sketchup, which room you are going to redesign and where you are going to get the furniture (Ikea). In order to design the room properly you need to know its layout and the sizes of the walls, doors, windows and where the electric points are. In short anything in your room that can´t be moved. The room layout was your homework for Tuesday and should be a Paint drawing or a paper and pencil sketch in birds-eye view. This week you should write out your Specification which is all the things essential to your project like the room sizes that must be accurate, the furniture that must not cost more than 5,000 Euros etc. The final part of the investigation is a test to check if when you complete your design that it has all the things you have said it should have in the specification, so for example if you say it should not cost more than 5,000 euros then ask someone if they think it costs 5,000 euros.

( ***Hint - The test is a questionnaire of all the essentials in your specification)

The deadline will be Tuesday 17 January 2012 which gives you 1 full week to complete it. It should take you 30mins and is a video about sketchup + questions all about sketchup
