Rua Maria Brown Lisboa. Portugal. Dear Designer, I am the managing director of a very successful chain which sells a variety of “funky” fashion items and homeware products. The cost of these products varies dramatically as we stock products from both designer and high street labels. We generally attract customers aged between 15 and 30, both male and female alike, who have a love for original and distinctive pieces. It has come to my attention that people around the world today have become very wasteful and often disregard perfectly good items because they no longer have use for them. For this reason I am looking to expand my business in order to incorporate products which are made from re-used materials. I have already commissioned several other designers to create a piece for this collection and would very much like you to produce an original piece in order to complete the collection. As the company is known for selling high quality products of a certain style it is imperative that your design is both robust and unique.

As this will be a one-off piece, you will be required to produce it yourself using whatever materials and manufacturing methods are available to you. However, the product must comply with European safety standards.
