Design Cycle Stages - Design Folders
Pieces of work should be word processed and stored electronically in your Google Drive under your school registration number and Shared with your Subject Teacher as a single document.
For example:
(subject drive folder) Information Technology or (subject folder) Design Technology
*Note not IT or DT as this may confuse you later.
Each subject folder should then contain sub-headings for each criterion.
These will appear as below:
A:Investigate
B.Design
C.Plan
D.Create
E.Evaluate
(Each criterion should begin on a new page in order to sort them in sequence)
All pages in a piece of work MUST contain a header listing the following information:
Your Full Name
Your E-mail address
Your registration Number
Your Class with Tutor Letters
The Project Name
Pages can if you wish contain a footer showing the page number you may if you wish show the date created.
The above information is easily set up in a Google Drive document or Microsoft Word using the insert header and footer buttons.
All work submitted containing 3rd party information (copied and pasted information) MUST show clear referencing/acknowledgment and differentiation from your own work. For example: included 3rd party work should be in italics with an in-text super-scripted reference that is included in a Bibliography. Failure to comply with referencing could result in the work being deemed Plagiarism and no grade can therefore be awarded.
Research documents should contain a formatted Bibliography.
