The following are the effective ways to use APA style to do an in-text citation. This shows the paraphrasing style which is both common and effective. For looking up other issues with APA style I highly recommend the University of Purdue Writing Center. APA also has a very nice blog that can answer your questions. Make sure you know how to quote correctly and a paraphrase correctly. These are the very basics.
