Vocabulary Profiler -This useful tool helps student identify and categorize academic words from an article; this helps students focus their learning efforts in the right area. We want our students to focus on academic vocabulary.
Readability Test -This website will tell you the grade level of a text to help you choose readings that are appropriate for your students. You can take texts from the internet, simplify them by simplifying sentences, changing vocabulary, and taking our parts that are not necessary for comprehension.
Levels Test Designed by Paul Nation -This is a great website with a variety of tests for vocabulary ranging from basic to advanced level.
Lexical Tutor -Another set of tests designed by nation and other high level researchers;this can be used to help students be more aware of their vocabulary levels.
