Extend your design skills 1: neckcollar & pendant

INSPIRATIONS: This workshop is inspired by the love of learning and sharing it.

SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for beadweavers ready to extend themselves. Must have familiarity with the basic beadweaving stitches and/or patience to learn them.

STITCHES: This is not a project - it is a process. We'll use cubic right angle weave, peyote stitch, netting, square stitch and various embellishment thread paths to design a neckcollar - you can bling it up or down, Deco it, pretty it... make it simple, make it complex. We'll learn how to bead a self-curving neckcollar, explore ways to embellish it including a great way to put secure and beautiful clasps on it. We'll learn at how to use Tile beads to surround a cabochon and play with design decisions around that. There are several components that can be used in different ways to create your own unique design. We'll talk about design principles of shape and balance.
