Time to bring out those unfinished ropes (and the beads you used to make them). We'll explore the pros, cons and techniques for finishing them form using clasps you buy, those you reinvent and re-purpose everyday bits and bobs and those you create yourself. We'll look at hidden clasps, feature clasps, usability, durability and:
- glue on findings (your own and bought ones) (tips, glues, styles, etc.)
- toggle clasps (attaching and creating those you buy and those you make)
- creating your own wire hook and eye clasp (we'll each make one on the day)
- seed beaded clasps (toggle clasps, press studs, end caps and magnetic clasps, etc).
There will be plenty of samples to explore. Choose a preferred style for the ropes you bring and you should go home with a few completed (depending of course on what style you choose to make).
- Suitable all levels though for the more complex seed beaded techniques you need to know the basic seed bead stitches. It will work best if you bring some beaded ropes with you.
