Things to bring to workshops

Basic beading kit

  • beading mat
  • beading needles (Size 10 and Size 11)
  • beading thread - Fireline 6lb is best for most projects but BYO.
  • bead scoop

To help you see the beads clearly

  • light if you need it though the studio space has plenty of natural light
  • magnifier if needed
  • glasses if needed.

Beads and findings (clasps, etc)

  • BYO, order a kit or buy some on the day at the Studio.

  • Do you have EFTPO? Yes, its available at the Studio classes.
  • Is there parking at the Studio? Yes, there is plenty of off-street parking?
  • Do I need any experience with beading to attend? If a project is marked as suitable for beginners you don't need any prior experience with beading.
  • Do you add new projects? Yes, new projects are regularly being added regularly.
  • I've missed a class I really want to do - can I organise to do it with you? Yes, I do run 'on demand' sessions if you can find 2 or more beading buddies to take the workshop with you. Just phone or email to discuss. Most often afternoons will be best for me.
  • Can I buy supplies from you? I am not a bead shop but I have a range of beading supplies and beads available for those taking classes.
  • Are there beading shops in the area? You can buy beads at Spotlight, Lyncraft and the Bead Shop in High Street, Belmont as well as online through many beading suppliers.
