Weekly forums assignments determine your course PARTICIPATION grade.
I will send the class schedule, tasks and deadlines information to your university email address.
Every week when there is a class, you need to complete your weekly forums assignment.
Here is a quick demonstration to help you understand how to do the weekly forums assignments.
We'll use the spring semester class 01 assignment.

Click on the link for class 01.
Each assignment has 2 tasks.
1 - choose one theme and post one discussion
2 - post one response to another student's discussion
The instructions for tasks 1 and 2 are here in blue letters.
TASK #1
Choose any ONE of the topics, themes or questions listed below...
The topics are here in black letters.
Post one discussion
To do that you need to do three things
- click reply
Reply is down here.
- about 30 to 50 words or more
There is no problem if you type more than 50 words.
You will not lose any points.
However, if your post is too long, other students will not read it.
- your post must be in English
Any other language means your posts will be deleted.
DEMONSTRATION
This is what you need to do to complete task #1.
There are four themes ---
TOPICS, THEMES and QUESTIONS...
Just select one.
1. ENGLISH JOURNAL
2. NEWS
3. VACATIONS
4. INTRODUCE YOURSELF
I'll select NEWS.
Click [reply].
Type the topic you selected and press [enter]. This makes it easy for other people to read.
Type your opinion or your impressions in English in about 30 to 50 words or more.
Click on [Post to forum].
Your post now appears at the bottom of the page. You now have 30 minutes if you want to edit your post.
Click on edit; make the changes and click on [Save changes].
Task #1 is now complete.
TASK #2
Look through the other students' posts.
The most recent posts are at the bottom of the page.
Choose a post that interests you.
These posts are from students in other courses and other universities.
This is a good chance to meet and talk with lots of interesting people.

DEMONSTRATION
This is what you need to do to complete task #2.
I'm going to the bottom of the page and I'll select this post.
I click on [reply]. I type my response in English.
Then I click on [Post to forum]. I can also edit my response within 30 minutes of posting.
Task #2 is now complete.
GRADES
You can confirm successful submission of your posts anytime you like.
Go back to the weekly forums page.
Look for the blue checkmark on the right side of the page.
When you see the blue checkmark, you know that your submissions are successful.

As always, there are two tasks to perform.
Post one discussion of about 30 to 50 words or more.
Post one response.
Choose any of the following topics or questions.
Number one: ENGLISH JOURNAL.
Number two: NEWS.
Number three: CONFIDENCE.
Let's look at number three.
Answer these questions.
How many years have you studied English?
What kind of English did you study? (grammar, conversation, TOEIC, TOEFL...EIKEN...)
How much confidence do you have in your English? Please answer between zero percent and one hundred percent.
Why is your confidence so high or so low after so many years of learning? Give one or more reasons.

How can you improve your English and your confidence?
Make a list of five things and write about them briefly below.
Then do two of them before class before next class.
So please complete tasks one and two.
After you have finished, you can always confirm that your submissions are safe.
Just go to the top of the page and click on spring semester.

Class three.

As always there are two tasks to perform.
The first one is Post one discussion about 30 to 50 words or more.
And the second one is Post one response to another student.
So, choose any one of the following topics or questions.
The first topic is ENGLISH JOURNAL, then NEWS, and then YOU ARE THE EXPERT.
Let's look at topic three, you are the expert.
Select one of the following any topic you have studied any research topic that you are interested in. And the subjects in which you feel you are an expert here subject an expert.
The subject could be any hobby or it doesn't have to be such a serious topic and expert does not have to mean such a high level, Just that your level is higher than other students are higher than the average level.
After you select one of those, then write the title of your topic, and briefly discuss two to five important concepts that are associated with the topic.
So please complete tasks. After you finish it's always a good idea to click on spring semester. And then down here you will see opposite class three, there should be a blue check-mark. This indicates that your posts have been successful and that your scores are safe.
Class four.

As always there are two tasks that you need to perform post one discussion about 30 to 50 words and post one response. More than 50 words would not be a problem. Okay, you will not lose any marks if you're over 50 words.
So, choose any one of the following topics or questions, English journal news or your topic.
Let's look at number three.
Think of any discussion topic that you are interested in, write the title of your topic and your opinion of this topic, or write the title of your topic and five discussion questions about this topic.
So please do two tasks. After you finish it's always a good idea to click on spring semester. And then down here opposite class for you should see a blue check-mark. That indicates that your submissions are successful, and your scores are safe,
Class five.

As always there are two tasks that you need to perform post one discussion about 30 to 50 words and post one response.
If you post more than 50 words this is not a problem. Okay, choose any one of the following topics or questions, English journal, use, or language resources.
Let's look at Topic number three language resources. Choose a useful online resource or a resource that you like for improving your English.
Write the name of the resource and discuss some of the good or bad points for this resource.
So please complete both tasks. After you finish it's always a good idea to click on spring semester. And then down here as a class five on the right side, you should see a blue check-mark. This will indicate that your submissions are successful, and your scores are safe, happy news.

Class six.

There are two tasks to do. The first one is post one discussion about 30 to 50 words or more. And the second one is post one response to another student choose any one of the following topics or questions, English journal news or your future and your philosophy of life.
Let's look at number three, think of one or more of your favorite quotations or Proverbs, a quotation is a line that a famous person spoke usually our famous line that a famous person spoke a proverb is a line that contains wisdom.
And usually it is classic wisdom has been passed down through the generations.
