CREATING A HISTORY TIMELINE

English and Social Science

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT YEAR 2012-13

You are more familiar with timelines. Now create a timeline in an Impress presentation or a Smart notebook document including the most important time periods and events in our prehistory and history.

The time periods and events you must include in your timeline are:

You must include the date and some brief information about each event and images of works of art from each period.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT YEAR 2014-15

We will learn what a timeline and learn how to order events along a timeline.

Here is a prehistory and history timeline created by Inma Fernández some years ago:

In pairs you will create a game to order important events in the different ages of history. You will use the on-line application:

Step 1: The first step is to log in with the username and password you teacher will give you in class. Only one student has to log in.

Step 2: The language you should use to create this game is English.

Step 3: You are going to create an App. In the Sequence section, choose the activity Number line. For the students working on the Prehistory timeline and the Ancient Age timeline, choose the option Sequence and Order.

Step 4: Study well the events on your timeline so you can present your project showing all that you have learned.
