My Urban Forest Garden
This is a virtual tour of my work-in-progress edible food forest that was posted to Nextdoor SNAIL district of Sunnyvale on June 28. I am now 4 years into my permaculture plan to transform our rock hard clay soil into a shady sustainable garden.
Key considerations:
To have at least one fruit to pick every month of the year so that we can eat what is in season
To be close to self-sufficient in vegetables and herbs
To irrigate using tanks, laundry to landscape and gray water as much as possible in California
