Implement Activities

Directing students through the writing process will, of course, depend on the kinds of reflection activities you have created for your course or high-impact activity. Instructors may find it helpful to "prime the pump" by sharing their own experiences with reflection since students are not always eager to begin such a challenging task "cold." Instructors may also want to "decompress" a complex prompt by breaking it into parts to allow students to engage with the topic in stages rather than having to synthesize from scratch.
