I made the Owl Wall Hanging the center of an afghan by adding a "frame" of basic front and back sc enhanced with post stitches. Four rectangles of back and front shell stitches and four corners of basic back-and-front sc complete the pattern. The brown border was part of each square and rectangle.

This afghan was made with all reversible textured sc designs. The squares were joined with the flat braid join technique, but the green and blue squares were edged BTF while the pink and tan squares were edged with regular stitches. This made the project totally reversible! The patterns for the pink and blue squares are on the website, but the tan checkerboard and green zig-zag patterns are not graphed here.

This sampler included patterns from the website along with traditional shell stitch patterns in btf alternating with traditional crochet. They really look different with the btf technique.
