• Surname variants: Obuchon, Hobuchon, Daubuchon.
• The Aubuchon/Obuchon family came from Kaskaskia in the 1720's from Montreal.^6,7 Before arriving in Montreal, the family may have lived in Normandy, France.⁸

Notes on Catharine Creely

• One Creely cousin pointed out to me that she is not listed as an heir in her father's probate proceedings, even though she was alive at the time. This raises the possibility that she is not Jean Baptiste Creely's daughter. He suggests that Catherine is the daughter of Francois Creely and Josette Lorrain. This is a possibility; however, that would make Catharine no more than 15-years-old when she got married, which would be extremely young for the Creelys of this time period.
