Notes on Francis Creely
Also known as Francois Creely.
Lived next door to his brother Michel Creely in the 1830 Federal Census of St. Ferdinand, St. Louis, Missouri.19
He is recorded as owning a male slave who was between the ages of 10 and 23 in the 1830 Federal Census.19
He owned two Black male slaves who were buried on 9 July 1834. The two males were about 6 and 14 years old, which would place their births at approximately 1820 and 1828.20 It is not known if the older male is the same one who was recorded in the 1830 Federal Census.
It is not known if this is one of the males who died in 1834.
