Notes on Jean Baptiste Creely

I suspect that he was born in Kaskaskia, but there is no proof of this. A very real possibility is that he was born in Point Coupée, Louisiana, as his older sister was.
He was not in the 1 January 1732 census of Kaskaskia, meaning he either was not born or was not in Kaskaskia at that time.
On 12 August 1739 he and his wife bought a piece of land with ". . . one house built of pickets covered with straw, chimney of clay, floored above and below with lumber split with the axe, with the lot depending on it situated in this village . . ." that they took ownership on St. Michael's day [September 29th].⁷

Notes on Angelique Pillet dit LaSonde

She was the daughter of Pierre Pillet dit LaSonde and Catherine Marie Madeline Boisron Bosseron,⁸ both of whom were among the 152 colonists on the ship "Le Comte de Toulouse," which left La Rochelle, France, in 1718. They were not married at the time and probably met on the boat.⁹
Her parents were in Kaskaskia by 1724 when they leased property from Louis Turpin.¹⁰
She married Gabriel Aubuchon and had at least five children: Gabriel Aubuchon (b. 23 May 1765, married Marie Thibault),¹¹ Joseph Aubuchon (b. 18 October 1767, married Marie Kiercereau),¹² Therese Aubuchon (b. 18 October 1767),¹³ Joseph, Aubuchon (b. 8 October 1770),¹⁴ and Charles Aubuchon (b. 9 July 1776).¹⁵
She died "suddenly in bed."⁵
On 2 May 1788 in Kaskaskia she was posthumously declared out of her mind. Her children, Francoise and Jean Baptiste, disputed a 1774 sale of her property that she did while she was still living, claiming that the buyer knew that she was not in full possession of her faculties. The arbitrator agreed.¹⁶
