Notes on Antoine Creely

The marriage beteen Antoine and Julie required a dispensation, due to consanguinity; they were 1st counsins once removed.² The Aubuchons were had been in Kaskaskia since at least 1732,⁹ and both the Creelys and the Aubuchons moved to the St. Louis/Florissant area at about the same time.

Notes on Julie Baptista Aubuchon

According to her great-granddaughter (born 1921), Julie died of complications from childbirth. However, she died 5½ months after Melanie was born. Perhaps she lingered for a few months.
