Membership is the basis for all that we do. It is the reason we, as an organization, exist. Throughout my career, growing the number of youth served has always been challenging. In order to be successful, one must constantly be working towards growth and retaining those we already serve. My philosophy is to keep trying until the year clock runs out, even when achieving growth looks impossible. Below are some of the membership related successes I have attained:

Team has started 22 units in 2024, achieving growth

Personally started first girl troop in the Black Hills
Started a pack in a homeless shelter for families
Ran a pack in a State Women's Correctional Facility (Breaking Barriers program)
Team started 17 new units in 2017 compared to 14 in 2016
Personally started 7 units in 2017
Starting new units to serve families in housing developments
Incorporated new Explorer Club program in juvenile diversion programs
Collaborated with Teen Courts to start Explorer Posts
Started 21 new units - 2002 to 2005
Organized after school programs/units on Native American Reservations
