I began my service as a Field Director in November 2007.
Responsibilities:
Supervise 3 rural districts in central and southeastern South Dakota
Supervise 2 juvenile diversion program coordinators (Teen Court and RISE)
Supervise the Camp Ranger
Train new District Executives in my service area
Annual Shoot Out sporting clays fundraising event
Oversee Lewis & Clark Scout Camp and Missouri River High Adventure Base operations
Staff advisor to Properties, Camping, Alumni, Popcorn, and Risk Management committees
Lead the 2014 Popcorn Campaign which grossed just short of $1.5 million

Silver Journey to Excellence 2009, 2011, and 2013
Bronze Journey to Excellence in 2012
Quality District in 2009
Led the 2014 and 2015 council budget process from start to finish ($1.9 million)
District Meetings switched focus to Journey to Excellence program
Collaborated with Boys & Girls Clubs, Tribal schools, police departments, States Attorney's Office, and the Salvation Army to start Scout Reach programs and units
Started afterschool program and units on Native American Reservations
Helped develop the Gift of Scouting program to serve under privileged youth
Piloted the Personal Watercraft Program now being used nationwide
Established council's online registration system
Annual Shoot Out fundraiser increased gross income from $25,000 to $45,000
Service Area gross popcorn sales average $405,000 annually
Took the Executive Board Meeting Minutes
Service Area raised approximately $111,000 annually in Friends of Scouting
Facilitated a land trade between the Sioux Council and the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Department
South Dakota Teen Court Association President for two years
