STEM Community Night

Students and Parents,

I have been trying to recruit a few students for the FCPS STEM Community night at Oakdale HS tomorrow but I have had a lot of students not able to attend. I need a few more students to help!

Who:

Teachers and students from all different schools

What:

Share the amazing STEM experiences! Bring a small group of students to the county wide STEM community night! Highlight things you are doing in your classroom, as a grade or as a school. Or host a table with students participating in MSO, Girls STEM groups, Lego Education, Destination Imagination, Future Cities, FIRST Robotics, and more!

When:

Wednesday, March 19th 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Where:

Oakdale High School

Why:

Let’s celebrate all the wonderful STEM. Education occurring at FCPS

I am looking for a few student volunteers to come to this event to help show case different lessons and projects that were/are completed in my classes (7^th Grade: Inventions and Innovations). Students will help me man a booth with sample projects and lessons. Students will help share “what we do” at Walkersville Middle School related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to “community members” as they float around the exhibit.

Students, if you are willing to help share and showcase your hard work, please have you guardian(s) fill out and return the form below.

Guardian(s), transportation to and from this event is not provided and you are not required to stay while your child is at the event. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Even if you are not able to stay for the whole thing, it is a great experience!
