Update:Today starts the 3rd week of school. Last week, we learned about how technology can effect culture, society, politics, economics and the environment. We practiced identifying and labeling these effects by examining "shoes".
This week we will begin (and hopefully finish) identifying 12 different effects of specific technology. Students will work in groups of 4 and identify a total of 12 different effects. These technologies include automobile, cell phone, wind turbines, and medicine to name a few.
Test: If all goes according to plan, we will test on this topic on this Friday (Sept 6th). I know we have a crazy schedule this week but I am confident that students will be prepared for this test.
In the mean time there are numerous aids that can be used to help study, review, and practice!
1) Webpage: Effects of Technology This page has basically everything we have done and will have all of the following resources.
2) Flashcards: The following flash cards can be used to study numerous ways (including games)
- Effects of Shoes (This will help you develop the mindset of identifying the different types of effects and labeling them correctly)
