The past 3 class periods in I & I we have been finishing learning the foundation that we will build on the for the rest of the course. We learned, practiced, and applied our understanding of Technology and what all Technology includes.
Here is a recap...
Technology is basically any man designed (or made) item that meets our wants and needs.
Technology can be divided into 6 main areas or categories (and many subcategories)
Manufacturing
Energy and Power
Transportation
Communication
Construction
Biotechnology
1 technology can can be connected or relate to almost all of areas but often is clearly related to 1.
Project: We just finished a project that required students to search (Google) for images/photographs that relate to each area of technology. Students had to organize them into a PowerPoint Presentation and provide a strong rationale of why that picture falls under that category. Students were given 2 class periods to put together 6 slides. There will be no more class time available to finish this assignment. If student are not done, students must work on it at home, after school, during ELT or find additional time after completing other assignments. A late penalty added for anything not finished after Friday.

The test tomorrow will be multiple choice and matching. The test will assess your understanding of the previous lessons and objectives stated above. For more information or to review for the test, visit HERE. Also, Flash cards were developed for students to study and practice with the definitions.
