The Mayor is the Chief executive officer of the city and presides over the council and supervises all the departments of the city. The Mayor has the authority to sign, veto, or take no action on an ordinance, amendment or resolution.
The City Council is the legislative body of the city government and determines all matter of the city policy. The Council is made up of five members. The City Council has the authority to appoint the City Clerk, City Attorney, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Cemetery Sexton, & Parks Director.
