Maxwell City Park
Maxwell City Park can be found at the corner of Second Street and Trotter Blvd. It offers many forms of entertainment. Items of interest found in the park are:
1) 2 play grounds on the east and west sides of the park.
2) 2 shelters. One enclosed with electricity, which is for rent, in the center of the park. The other is open but has picnic tables and is on the east side of the park near the playground.
3) Horseshoe pitching court
4) Softball/baseball field with lights.
5) 12 hole Frisbee Golf course.
6) An area to setup a volleyball court.
7) Camping is available with electricity hook-ups.
Scout Park
Scout Park is at 105 Woodlawn St. It is a small intimate park with an open style shelter and picnic tables. There is a small creek running along the east side of the park.
Legion Park
Legion Park can be found at 600 First Street. This park contains a portion of the soccer fields as well as a baseball field. It is also one of the starting points for the nature trail. The park has a great hill for sledding in the winter months.

Soccer Fields
The second set of soccer fields are at 615 First Street across the street from the Legions fields.
Mini Parks
The City owns a couple of mini parks.
The first one can be found at 731 First Street. This one is attached to the east side of the Soccer fields. It contains some playground equipment.
The second mini park is at 116 Metcalf. This park is yet to be developed.
Nature Trail
The Nature Trail is part of the Heart of Iowa Trail. The Trail can be used for walking, bicycling, equestrian riding, snowmobiling when there is sufficient snow. The Trail is open from 5:00am to 10:30 pm year round. The equestrian trail is mowed turf next to the limestone surface.
Rodeo Grounds

The Maxwell Rodeo is held the first full weekend in August on Friday & Saturday starting at 7:30.
The Rodeo grounds are open to all riders wishing to use the facilities.
