Unparallely ultrafast fMRI using multiband EPI

We are delighted to announce a unparalleled multiband EPI for preclinical imaging. This "unparalleled" technique doesn't require any coil array or parallel imaging so can be easily used on most preclinical scanners. We demonstrated highly accelerated whole brain fMRI in the mouse using a 4-band EPI with just a 10mm single loop Rx coil.

So, what will you gain using ultrafast fMRI when haemodynamic is so slow?

1. Boost statistic power. We showed ~80% increase in z-score in visual fMRI (see picture). A far better gain (and $0 cost) than buying a stronger magnet.

2. Detect transient response. We got 2000 time points in 10min when others need to spend 40min to get that. This will enhance dynamic analysis.

3. High spatiotemporal resolution imaging. We showed scanning 36 thin slices within 0.5sec!
