John S. Dunham

Construction AdministratorConnecticut Department of Transportation

John Dunham is the Construction Administrator at Connecticut Department of Transportation, and he has overall construction responsibilities for 550 construction staff which are broken up into 5 Construction Districts, a Central Construction Office and the Materials Testing Laboratory

John has over 34 years’ experience in the Construction Industry and has worked on some of the Department’s largest projects and programs throughout his career. They include the $2.0 billion I95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program, CT FAstrak, Connecticut’s’ first Bus Rapid Transit System, Reconstruction of I-95 in Bridgeport Corridor and Widening of Interstate-84 through Waterbury

John graduated form the University of Connecticut with a BS in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in State of CT.

John is a member of the Board of Directors of American Segmental Bridge Institute is a member of the ASSHTO Committee on Construction and is the Chairman of the Board at the Mattabassett District which is a 35 MGD Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility
