“Replacement of a Failed  84 inch Diameter Pipe Under Route 372 in Cromwell In It’s Existing Location Using Pipe Jacking Methods”

The presentation will include photographs, drone videos, and descriptions of handling the existing water flow, construction of the  launching pit, receiving pit, pipe jacking and grout compaction of the roadway embankment weakened by the pipe failure. 

Peter Arborio 

Mr. Arborio along with his brothers is the third generation of his family in the construction business. He is president of Arborio Corporation, a heavy/civil construction firm involved in road and bridge construction and vice-president of Charter Oak Utility Constructors, an underground utility construction firm. He is responsible for overseeing engineering, estimating and project management for both organizations.

Mr. Arborio is a past president of Connecticut Road Builders Association and currently serves on its’ board of directors. He is a (non-voting) member of the Connecticut Department of Transportation Specifications Committee. He serves as the management co-chairman of the Connecticut Laborers’ Pension Fund (a Taft-Hartley fund). He also serves on the board of directors at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

Mr. Arborio holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Connecticut.
