Student Qualifications

Entry Level Manufacturing Process Engineer - Successful candidate should be driven and personable, able to work well with others, fast learner, able to adapt to shop environment, draw models, plan manufacturing sequences, create manufacturing work instructions and drawings, design tooling and fixtures to support the manufacturing process, and provide engineering technical support to the shop floor. Previous experience with NX CAD or equivalent CAD software is preferred.

Manufacturing Process Engineer – Successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in drawing models, planning manufacturing sequences, creating manufacturing work instructions and drawings, designing tooling and fixtures to support the manufacturing process and provide engineering technical support to the shop floor.

Candidate must be proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and have a working knowledge of multi axis machining, metal joining and sheet metal fabrication. Previous experience with NX CAD is required.

Entry Level Structural Engineer – full time position in Windsor, CT

• • Belcan is currently hiring Mechanical Engineers (BSME) with an interest in Structural Analysis to work on the design and analysis of jet engine.  

  • Responsible for the durability and structural assessment of gas-turbine components including airfoils, rotors & shafts, cases, frames, and other parts.

  • Use FE and other methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, and optimization analyses.

  • Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.

  • Student should be inquisitive and independent, with a GPA > 3.25.  

  • Must be US Citizen or green card holder.

Entry Level Design Engineer  - full time position in Windsor, CT

• • Belcan is currently hiring Mechanical Engineers (BSME) with an interest in Design to work on the jet engine hardware.  

  • Responsible for Solid part modeling and drafting using CAD NX, Solidworks, perform geometric tolerance studies, and create and present at customer design reviews.

  • Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.

  • Student should be inquisitive, independent, with strong interpersonal skills, and a GPA > 3.25.  

  • Must be US Citizen or green card holder.

  • Proficiency in NX CAD software.  Experience with Teamcenter Engineering with NX Manager desirable.
