Concept to Production: how to take an idea and turn it into reality
Tony Audette
Owner/Founder
Audette Motorcycles
CCSU Alumnus
After spending 6 years in the United States Marine Corps Infantry, Tony attended CCSU and obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Manufacturing Engineering. While in school he worked as a manufacturing engineer intern at O.F. Mossberg & Sons in the prototype shop, and Sikorsky Aircraft in the dynamic components department. After graduation, Tony continued working in the aerospace industry until making the move to become a design engineer at a high-end motorcycle manufacturer. In 2019 he left that company to start his own business, Audette Motorcycles, which offers the highest quality aftermarket parts for Indian Motorcycles, while developing their own high-end motorcycle, scheduled to be released this Spring.
Utilizing a recently completed Air Intake design as an example, Tony will go over the process of how to bring a concept through the prototype and testing phases into production.
