About Medicaid and Oregon Health Plan
Medicaid is a federal program that is administered at the state level. In Oregon, Medicaid is administered by the Oregon Health Plan. Within Oregon, there are over a dozen networks of providers who accept OHP. These are called Coordinated Care Organizations (CCO). Our local CCO is the InterCommunity Health Network CCO (OHP-IHN).
People with OHP either have a plan where they are limited to obtaining routine care to their local CCO or they have a plan that is called Open Card and can see any providers who accept OHP coverage. If you have a plan from OHP, first determine whether it is with a CCO (such as OHP-IHN) or whether it is OHP Open Card.
If you are in a CCO and need help accessing behavioral health services, contact your CCO and ask for care coordination.
If you are not in a CCO (and have Open Card), contact OHP Care Coordination or your local Community Mental Health Program. You can also call OHP Care Coordination at 800-562-4620 and find providers online using the online provider search.

Member Handbook [PDF]
Find Care Database: www.ihntogether.org/find-care
Advice from the Member Handbook: "You can have an assessment of your mental health needs. Call your county mental health agency and tell them you want to schedule a visit with a counselor. See pages 50-51 of this handbook for agency details. You do not have to know if you have a mental health problem to schedule a visit. If you think you might, that is enough. At your first visit, the counselor will help you decide if you need mental health treatment. They will also help you decide if you need other types of care."
Care coordination services described in the Handbook: "We offer care coordination services that provide custom-tailored support to you. You have access to care coordinators, social workers and community health workers. They can help find ways to meet your health care needs. Care coordinators can help you know your benefits and how they work. ... To ask for care coordination, call Customer Service [541-768-4550, toll free 800-832-4580 (TTY 800-735-2900) Oregon Relay 711].
(2) About our referral lists
The referral lists below were originally created in 2020 and have had minor revisions since then. We cannot guarantee that any provider still accepts OHP. Please run a new search and contact OHP-IHN and/or the provider to verify current status. For IHN search: www.ihntogether.org/find-care
