Attractive site, Dutch managed, good pool and restaurant. Sarlat has good markets Wednesday and Saturday. Trout farm next door sells direct. Quiet lane/off road cycling from site. (2004)
South West France
Urrugne ☼ ACSI Camping Larrouleta (under St Jean de Luz)
Good site, friendly owners, convenient for shops, Spain and Pyrenees. Beach close by (bike or car) and St Jean is a lovely town. We have spent many weeks here and often stopped twice a year en route to Spain.
There is an alternative way to leave the site avoiding a difficult exit onto the N10, ask the office for a card with it on. (2021)
Alsace
Eguishiem ACSI Camp Municipal Les Trois Chateaux (under Colmar)
Good site among the vineyards outside a very pretty village. Many weeks here. Convenient for Colmar, Strasbourg (64 km) and Germany just over the Rhine. Shops in the village at walking distance, or supermarkets short drive. Storks visit the site at meal times. (2002)
Obernai ACSI Camp Municipal Le Vallon de l`Ehn
Good site on the outskirts of very attractive town. Picturesque surroundings. (2003)
South of France Languedoc Roussillon
Narbonne ACSI Camping La Nautique
Site near to motorway junction. Each pitch has personal shower and toilet. Nice pool, mosquitoes a problem in the wooded pitches. Pitches allocated but can be changed. To keep clear of the mosquitoes use the more open pitches. (2012)

Uzes Camping Le Mas de Rey
Good site with helpful proprietor. Nice area. (2004)

Ares Camping Pasteur (under Andernos les Bains)
Small site, several visits. It’s a quiet area with good cycle tracks. Very good food markets at Andernos along the cycle track. (2006)
St Palais sur Mer Camping Nauzan Plage
Nice site in walking distance of beach and with cycling opportunities.
Under new management, may have been changes. (2010)
Les Mathes ACSI Camping La Palombiere
Good site in parkland situation, luxurious sanitary facilities in individual rooms.
The pitches are unmarked but the manager spread arrivals as thinly as possible around the "glades". In low season we were quite distant from nearest neighbor.(2011)
Good site in grounds of a chateau with extensive grounds and lakes for fishing and boating. Large pitches and good facilities. Many tall trees make satellite reception difficult in parts of the site Site is some distance from the sea and might not be the best base for a "buckets and spades" holiday. If attending the welcome drink be aware the address by the friendly owner is long and in French! (2012)
Ile de Re
La Couarde ACSI Camping La tour des Prises (Ile de Re section, under St Martin de Re)
Many weeks here. Sites is ok and has helpful management. Very well situated for cycle touring, adjacent to the dedicated cycle network and being about the middle of the island makes almost anywhere reachable.Site road turns quite tight for big vans and mover sometimes needed (2015)
La Couarde sur Mer CC Camping L'Ocean
Large resort type site with good facilities, pool, shop and bar restaurant . Central location with direct access to cycle network from the site.
Although well laid out with good site roads some corners are tight and care needed (2017)
Noirmoutier en L’Isle Camp Municipal du Midi
OK site in good central position on the island. Very quiet in April (2007)
Marais
Coulon ACSI Camping La Venise Verte
Decent site in nice area. (2008)
Auvergne
Issoire Camping La Grange Fort
Attractive site alongside river, mostly serviced pitches, pool and restaurant. Satellite reception problematic in wooded areas but fine in the open. Walking distance into very nice town with big Friday market. (2013)
Note: When arriving, after leaving the town ring road and crossing bridge over the Tarn, then right on roundabout Sat Navs may then indicate 1st Right - ignore this as it sends the unsuspecting along a footpath. Site entrance is off next roundabout approx 180m further on.
