- A low, shallow-pitched roof covered by red tiles.
- Curved archways for doorways and windows are common.
- The walls are normally covered by gleaming white stucco, although pastel colours
may be used.
- For entertainment, a front park-like area or central walled courtyard.
- Ornamentation is usually from black cast-iron or carved stone.
9d. Spanish (Cambridge Preston)
- Spanish homes are normally found in suburbs from around the mid-1900s but they may also 'pop up' in the most unexpected places.
9e. Spanish (Blair)
This Spanish home is just completing construction in Blair, one of the oldest villages in Southwest Ontario.
