4. About Ted Ray

Thanks for checking out this website. My name is Ted Ray and I live in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, about an hour south-west of Toronto.

Originally, from Ottawa, Ontario, I've lived in the Waterloo area the last 50 years. I'm retired now, but I have a degree in Geography from Wilfred Laurier University and had a career as a teacher. I taught primarily Geography and Canadian history in the former Waterloo County Board of Education. I'm also a past president of a Kitchener-Waterloo camera club.

My wife Nancy and I have camped in all 10 provinces and continue to gather material for this Website, which my wife now refers to as my obsession!

The local newspaper, the KW Record, recently ran this picture of me with an article describing my interest in Building Watching. I like this picture because it includes a few of my architectural sketches, which is another hobby I enjoy.
