Sivewright Quaich Tournament 2013

BGC made it through to the final of the prestigious LGA Tournament for the 3rd time this year (2013) - a great effort to mark our Club’s 45th anniversary year. Previous finals were in 2009 and 2010. Our opponents this year were Colinton Mains.

The final was played by tradition over the neutral course at Prestonfield GC and the Buckstone team won the Trophy 2 up, the first time in BGC history that this has happened.

BGC were represented in the final by John Masterton & John Christie, John Dunn & Murray Sykes. In previous rounds BGC were also represented by John Notman, Ian McKerrow, Bob Williamson and Aki Barbod.

Much thanks also goes to Match Secretary, Dougie Sutherland, for picking the teams and organising the matches.
