History

Due to the large number of residents of Buckstone Estate who participated in the game of golf, it was felt that a Club could be formed to bring together all those golfers in the area, with a view to holding some friendly matches together.

Messrs. Hugh Cuthbertson and Edward Gray discussed the proposal with various golfers in the Estate, and the response was so encouraging that in March 1968 a meeting was called of all the interested parties with a view to forming a Club. All those who attended the meeting were in favour of the suggestion and thus Buckstone Golf Club was founded.
